CONTAINED: ARTIST INTERVIEW - EBII

AFRO-BEATS SINGER EBII SAT DOWN WITH US TO ELABORATE ON HIS MUSICAL ENDEAVOURS AND MORE.

Wearing PRADA, SKITZO WORLDWIDE, HOUSE OF ERRORS

Since your debut EP “LYF” was released and bearing in mind the acronym, do you think you have since “lived your fears”?

For years I’ve been living my fears because me doing music has actually been a fear of mine. So many people told me I can do this but try to tell you stories and put their fears on you. So basically I’ve lived through doing the music and getting to this stage. However I’ve got a long way to go regardless what people are saying in life.

Where did you draw inspiration from when writing your latest track?

My producer sent me that beat from Nigeria and I literally just listened to it once, I didn’t want to listen to it over and over again. I went straight to the studio to work on the song and get it done, it was a freestyle. Some songs I write properly it just depends on how I’m feeling.

If you could collaborate with one producer, who would that be and why?

Jae5, he’s worked with so many top afro-beats artists like Burna Boy and Wiz Kid. So big up Jae5!

What would you say is your biggest strength is an artist?

I would say the energy that I bring in general, that’s my greatest strength.

What would be your dream festival to headline?

Probably would have to be an Afrobeat focused one, that’s not many festivals though because I’m in the UK. I would say Parklife is wild, I would love to headline there.

What can we expect to see from Ebii in the next 12 months?

In the next 12 months, I’m dropping two songs first week of July, ‘Kolo’ featuring Prince the Kid and from there I’m expecting a video for ‘Kolo’ and potentially a new mixtape, trust me I’ve got a couple of things coming.
